I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor using Transactional Analysis (TA) as my Core Therapeutic Model. I also borrow theory from other therapy types if I think it will benefit our work together.
I am a neurodivergent individual. I am curious and really enjoy listening to people, their stories and how they make sense of their world around them.
I've also had to take the scary first steps in therapy. I have undertaken (and I am still on) my own therapeutic journey to continue to find ways to be OK with the changing seasons.
I am not ashamed of my differences, I choose to understand the way I process the world to better support my own health and wellbeing.
In turn, I hope to help other individuals find their way to 'be ok' within their own life and circumstances.
The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) has a handy A-Z of topics psychotherapeutic counselling can help with.
I want to help other people feel OK in their own skin and circumstances. I've felt alone, unable to see a path forward and been afraid of what the future holds. I do not want anyone to have to face these fears, or experiences, alone if sharing the load would help.
This logo confirms that I am a member of BACP and I am listed on the BACP register which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
The BACP states: "This category of membership is open to Individual members and Member MBACP who have completed a BACP Accredited course or have successfully passed the Certificate of Proficiency and signed up to the Terms and Conditions of membership of the BACP Register. Registered Member MBACP requires continued satisfaction of the conditions for renewal and is subject to audit."
